Default How do i fix the pouch Behind the Passengers seat?

Hey all, My lad broke off the pouch yesterday with his feet. After looking at it it seems the plastic piece on the back of the seat needs to come off for me to put A new one on. Is there a way to safely remove this?
It seems like it would just clip off as it moves a little bit if i pull it.
Also are these pouches or the complete back available from holdens?

    Cheers, James.

Those pics above will help you remove and replace the seat backing unfortunately you have to remove the back to refit the pouch back on.
Why unfortunate, well those clips shown in the top pic of page 3 always break when removed but they are available quite readily from holden.

You are correct. As per the attached documents, it specifically mentions to obtain new clips, as the old ones are destroyed with the removal of the back panel.

Yep thats 100% correct , however at 7 bucks a clip each (for a 50 cent moulded clip) from your friendly holden dealer they are quite a money spinner!!!!!! I have tried to make up a tool to prevent them snapping on removal to no avail . They are scientifically designed to break & thus create income for the dealers......

Once you have pulled the rear trim off the seat (and busted the clips in the process), you can think about fixing the pocket. They are held on by a number of small circular spring clips, which are also available from the General for about a buck each. If your pocket is like mine was, you will find that, when it was first installed, clips were only put on about half the plastic pegs that locate through the seat back and it's these little pegs that break off. You can put new spring clips on the unused pegs to put the pocket back into place. If you're lucky, you will find the broken-off pegs with their clips inside the seat back so you can re-use the clips on the unused pegs instead of having to buy them.

hi bcw61, i dont know where you got the docs that you attached from, but i have been having this problem for a long time and got used to it now. thanks a lot for pics, i think this will keep me busy on the weekend. I was just wondering if you would be having similar docs for changing the gear stick gaiter?

    regards

No problems. Just wander down to your local Holden dealer & ask them to sell you part number: VZ102006. It will have all the reading you require.

    Cheers
