    Default VZ pedal removal/replacement

    Ok I've decided I'm an idiot. How do you remove the accelerator pedal in a VZ? not the whole thing, just the pedal? I've replaced the foot rest and brake with alloy's but cannot for the life of my figure out how to get the accelerator off without actually just giving in and breaking it off! I'd like to remove it properly and not break it through crankiness.

    I'm probably missing something simple. Either that or it cannot be removed. I'm hoping it is the former! It looks weird with two alloys and the stock accelerator!

    theres 2 10mm bolts on the top of the black part where the connector is. one is easy to see, the other requires you to break your wrist in multiple places to maneuver your arm there lol. good luck with it

    If you're talking about the rubber, bingo! You need to buy a whole new pedal for the VZ if you want an alloy one.

    you can change them to the alloys, just need to remove the whole bit with the electrical connection. there is a thread on here that explains it all, and also lets you adjust it so the pedal "feels" more responsive. just search something along the lines of vz acceleration lag

    I replaced mine.... just need to pull the pin at the back of the pedal and it just slips off.

    VX with --> VZ pedals.

    Gah... knew it wasn't going to be easy. So I need the whole arm as well. Holden never makes things easy now do they?!! I've been looking at wreckers but I cannot seem to find anything that I want. If I can find a vz at a wreckers then all the parts I want are gone or it is an executive model and I don't want those parts!

    Thanks. I'll keep looking. Although it still looks odd with two alloys and one stock pedal!
