Right guys and girls in the next few weeks maybe month, I am gonna be getting myself a noisy exhaust system..

Now i dont have a clue on what to buy but i know i want it loud although not illegally loud..

I have been informed manta are good, I really only want cat back for now but have also been told that the my hsv clubsport doesnt have a off the shelf ctaback like normal vz commodores??

Anyway has anyone any suggestions on what i should do i dont want to pay loads of money out for an exhaust and i would prefer if i could get a 2nd hand system/cat back....

If you want noise on a budget, go for the Xforce system.

Yep. You can pick up a second hand XForce catback for a few hundred bucks. Have a gander on ebay, there's usually heaps of second hand catbacks on there.

I have an Xforce fitted on my car, cat back, and it puts out a pretty decent sound! Makes the 5.7 sound like a V8. With standard gearing though, it does cause quite a bit of drone in the cabin when cruising at 80km/h. If your car is manual, just change gears ha! Since I had mine tuned though, the drone is no longer there! The Xforce does help the engine pull a bit harder through the rev range (as all decent cat backs should).

And Yes, it should fit a clubby no problems.

But will catback fit on hsv clubby?

Most if not all off the shelf cat backs won't fit on the HSV Z's as they are different to all the HSV VT2-VY2 exhausts.
The diifference (sound and size apart) are the first joint in front of the centre mufflers.
On all Holden VT-VZ V8 and Hsv VT2-VY2 the pipes are in a Y shape where as on the HSV VZ the pipes are togetheron a single dual flange.

This pic what the front section of the catback on pre HSV VZ's look like apart from the twin tail pipes .
