i heard if i go king spring ssl with monroe gt shocks, and get a catback, that the exhaust will scrape and cause alot of hassle.
has anybody had any experience with the two together..and would anyone know it would be a problem
cheers
Most if not all superlow cars have scraping problems with exhausts, especially over speed humps.
Its one of the things you learn to live with when you want super low appearence.
You could try getting a custom made exhaust and have them fit it as high, close to the floor as possible but that will cost you more than an off the shelf system.

If you have exhaust fitted as close as possible to the floor then unlike a standard fitting you will have problems caused by heat - if you don't install heat-shields. Besides, lowering the suspension and fitting a loud/modified exhaust is a guaranteed way of attracting Police attention.
hmm fair enough.. i know its cop bait. do you guys know if ssl is illegal? in victoria
depends how high it was to begin with?
what you mean?
well your car would have fe2 suspension, holdens standard lower suspension
yeah it has fe2 as stock standard. does anyone kno how low in mm's ssl would lower my car
Super Lows are 40-50mm below std, so ssl will be 50mm+

That is very low!!! I have Lovells superlows and Boge lowered shocks and have scraped on 1 big speedhump in about 12 months... It is low, but not so low that I have to crab-walk over humps and thru dips. I think I'm about 20-25mm below FE2, just as a comparison...
isnt the rule of thumb 100mm under loweest part of car? or a coke can? myns not getting either hgaha
In SA, its min 100mm at the lowest point (i think mudflaps are exempt) but there's also the 'eyebrow' height between the middle of the wheel and the bottom of the guard which is different for every make and model of car
