    Default Service Vehicle Soon Message

    Just recently, the SVS message has popped up over and over again. I am about to do the 145,000kms service on it, but this is'nt the reminder message.

    It will only come up when I come to a stop. Then it will usually go away when I start driving again. It very rarely comes up when I'm moving. I checked all of the fluids, they are all fine. I tried resetting it like a regular service reminder, but nothing worked.

    I'm out of ideas. It's not like the car is driving any differently, it still puts out full power and fuel economy is still fine. I'm not sure where to start looking.

    If anyone knows of a similar issue, please let me know what it is. Any input would be geatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tom.

    svs vehicle soon on the instrument display means there is and dtc code in the engines ecu
    on vz v6 its normall an oil pressure sensor
    if only at idle could be an oil pressure issue e.g too little oil (i know you checked it) or oil too thinner visosity....
    would get the code checked if iwas you incase its something bad...

    This has been covered many times. Before posting a new thread it would be an idea to do a search. My 5 second search found your answer that you made a new thread for;

    Service Vehicle Soon

    and here;

    I'm pretty sure I can handle a sensor plug on a little petrol engine. All the sensors in a Volvo diesel can boggle the mind a little. I might find the right size spanner in my toolbox.

    Ugh—! By the Lord Harry, if Holden dared charge me that much + labour I'd tan their hide with my whip.
    Bought my OP sensor (for 1993-version 3.8/V6 Lexcen) in August 2007 for $4.00 from a country auto flea market. Was still going 200,000km later.
