hi all
when i put the throttle down it seems really slugish i dunno what this can be iv just had a service and no different, would it be the injectors, chuck in some injector cleaner or what else could it be
cheers
by slugish what do you mean?
do you mean it lags like when you put ur foot down it takes a little bit to respond?
whats the model of car?

na nothing you can do buddy, its got to do with the electronic throttle. mines like that and every other vz will be too. im not sure if a tune can fix it though, but i wouldnt be worried, its normal.
thats shit never use to be that sluggish, what if ya got a chip mod that would help! i wanta do some mods to it anyways so it might help once i figure out whats worth doing to it,cheers guys!
okay vz sluggis accleration (ignoring the "others" cause i knew you watching post and im lazy)
is there an engine light on?
is your air filter blocked? (can you see through it if you hold it up too light?)
is the engine misfiring?
can you hear any wiered noises around your motor?
well start here at the basics huh?
yes theres a whistling sound coming from engine,i have a cold air intake on mine just new,( keep in mind none of this happened after i installed this iv had it in for ages and had no problem) no engine light and no misfiring air filter is clear and clean!
okay
take your intake off your throttle body turn ignition on and hold accel pedal flat does the throttle plate move too fully open (some year models you have to be very quick)
which is throttle body that where it enters the engine? sorry it sounds stupid i only know lil bout cars and am picking things up sorry!
yeah where it enters the engine on the front metal part of your intake.
take your intake pipe off here
ok so exactly what am i looking for here when i throttle hard?
ign on
intake off
pedal full throttle
the "butterfly" or disc inside should move to horizontal or as little restriction as possible
after this check we move to but not in this order!~
fuel preasures, blocked exhaust or restricted intake tube, incorrectly fitted maf sensr (wrong way around has arrow on it), dtc checks, compression checks
adjusting the internals on pedals from different models will normaly end up wtih o no linear movement of the butterfly e.g. not smooth
would be better getting a wreckers one than adjust this screw think of it as a mixture screw!~
i told him to wedge the pedal p higher toothat info for the pedal adjustment would be good for fitting fly by wire to a cable tyoe car but...
lol na not the actual fix, but more that he is not the only one with this prob.
oh i get it its unsolved soz man !~ is pretty common problem im surprised none of yas have sorted it normally ends up being fuel pressure or vacum leaks or intake blocked
ill be back about 7:30 to check thread going out for dinner!~
haha, righto man, enjoi. if anyone every finds a solution to it that would be awesome
hmm il check maf but i sure i put that on correctly il have to pull throttle body one of tomorrow as im not ment to work on my car in my units where i live gay strata lol,the maf is the air sensor yeah? determines to computer how much fuel to mix etc? just making sure i ant a dummy lol just not a pro, with the butterly valve, what am i looking for in it if its sticking or somethen?
just seen this on ebay...BBK COMMODORE LS1 VT VX VY VZ VORTECH CNC THROTTLE BODY...direct bolt in is it worth upgrading the throttle body? whats the instake size on the standard stock throttle body?
