vz calias won't start

hi all I'm new to this site and need some help if any one has some to offer thanks my vz Calais v8 won't start a few weeks ago the fuel Gage started playing up then one week later turned the car off filled up with fuel and wouldn't start just clicking and turning over slow like flat battery but i wasn't mechanic that fixed it said he replaced the pim (powertrain interface module) but one and a half weeks later fuel Gage played up then 1 hour later turned car off at shops wouldn't start again any ideas has he ripped me off or is there some thing killing my pim's thanks

mate it sounds like you have a faulty fuel gauge sender its telling the computer that your car is out of fuel

yeah thats what i thought and what i was told by other forums like tascommodores but was never told it could stop my car from running though but told my mechanic and he says no way that wouldn't stop the car from running thats y i thought I'd put it to as many forums and do as much research as possible be for he stuffs with my car again and charges me another 450 for it to break down in another week bad enough that it's been broken down since Saturday and he still hasn't looked at it he has already proved he's has no idea wat it is coz first he tryed new battery then new starter then stipped car and cleand all earths then replaced pim witch got it runnig for a week and now it's dead again
