gday guys, not really sure were to post this so i just did it here.
I have a vz sv6 with a towbar.
Im looking to remove it so i can plug up my rear bumper and hide it for aesthetic reasons.
im basically just wondering if i have to fully remove it or if the end of it can be slide out and removed via one bolt so its no longer visible?
if i could leave all the brackets and structure for it attached without it been visible that is the preferred option.
here is a picture, one of external and two underneath

my guess would be to remove the rear bumper(sorry i dont know how) and then see how to get it off
yeh, im just wondering if i can remove the end bit and make it not visible, and still leave the structure of it connected to the car.
basically not happy with it astheticly.
unless there is a part that looks like it will slide out, im not sure how u would go about doing this
yeh thats what im looking for...looks like there are two screws underneath so im wondering if those can just release the end...or if they will dismantle the whole assembly.
hoping somebody has experience with one...
you have to unbolt the whole tow bar. lot of effort for nothing.
i do as the voices tell me
If you dont tow anything, Remove the bar, looks a whole lot better... pretty easy process really
jack the rear of the car up and undo the Screw on the inside of the wheel arch, open the boot, pull back side carpet and locate the 2 bolts securing the bar (2 each side) remove the trim connectors (same ones used on radiator shroud. There are clips, similiar to front bar, on the side, gently pull the bar away from the side and it should come free. Remove the support beam, then remove the mounts for the support beam, undo the bolts securing the tow bar, undo the bolts underneath first.
Reverse the process minus the tow bar to reassemble.
