I have been looking around the net for a good Over The Radiator (OTR) cold air intake system for my VZ Crewman ute. And all of them look rather cheap, though in cost they are anything but. So I was thinking of making my own.
My idea was to cut the opening into the stock radiator shroud, make a small ram and use ducting to link it near the original air box (so I can still use a high flow air-filter and keep it looking stock). I would then cover the ducting and air-box in aluminum heat tape to help keep the temperature down.
Is this idea feasible or are there better options to doing this?
Any suggestions or improvements.
Suggetion: Don't Bother, all Alloytec OTR CAI look Crappy and dont really do a darn thing (except cost a lot) Save your coin and spend $30 on a M.C.A.I or two hole mod.
Life starts at 200km/h
Just get a dus Otr they almost look like they were put there from the factory. If you don't know what they look like I'll put up a photo tommoro
Experience is a hard teacher. First you get the test, then you get the lesson.
Yeah, stop wasting time get a new and different one.
Dus speed otr, FTW.

otr wont fit, needs the maf, unless you can modify it, but then again Castle Hill have designed one, and did not get power gains, instead got a reduction in power from fitting the otr to the alloytec. dont believe me, call them uphope this helped.
Would a VCM unit be suitable?
They looks pretty sweet!
