Sounds like a silly question, but I think my dog ate my keys and my spare key is locked in my car. Is there any failsafe fitted to the vz commodore ute in case of this situation?
I don't really want to hear the keys will pass soon or you need to break a window coz it's not a perfect car and there must be a way.
Come on, surely there's some dodgey people who know the tricks of the trade.
roflmao just smash a window, on a serious note no i dont know
Just a minute. Do you consider that by asking that question here on a public forum that you may also be feeding the enquiring mind of thieves, potential or otherwise? Breaking a window to access the keys is what thieves would do. It's what you will also need to do. Mangling the key lock on the door will be an expensive exercise compared to replacing a window.

just call racv they will pop the door open then you jump in grab you spear out and press the unlock button to stop the alarm if you have total road side assist its free that what i would do
If you take your rego papers down to the holden dealership and show that you own the car, they should be able to give you a key number so that you can get a key blank cut to fit the door locks to let you in the car to get your spare key out. You will just need to prove that you own the car
Ive got two options for u mate 1 involves a brick and the other a locksmith... I understand u dont want to smash a window so ring the locksmith they should be able to take the back tray lock out and make a new key from looking at the numbers or watever on it I had it done with my magna but idk mite be different on the ute.
That or u could smash the window, then just go to the wreckers, get a new one and put it in yourself. Goodluck champ
Your not trying to prove your better than anyone else, your just compensating for other little problems...
I got the RACV to come out and unlock the door, it was pretty scary how easy the guy got in with just a piece of wire. It ended up being free because of the free2go program they have for under 20s. I wont post how he did it, just coz i might get into trouble with the mods (again).

Haha, I suggest everyone pull the door card off a door and look how the mechanism works, then you'll be able to do it yourself.
I'm sure its like every other ( well not all of them ) lock. A simple coat hanger will do the trick... Unless of course its dead locked... then I would have no idea.
How to unlock ?????????Early hours of this morning SCUM broke into my sons house and stole car keys,,,,,,WHY I'm f****d if I know, cause the cars are still there...the problem is he has smashed a window to get in but,,,, even with the smashed window u still CANNOT unlock the doors !!!!cause it was dead lock from the key pad.....Does anyone know how to unlock it.... wes308@bigpond.com.au
Cant think of any way other than getting a new key cut.
