hey guys,
just have the Lion badge on the rear of my ute which is starting to detach\lift itself from the tailgate.
i want to stick it back down on the side that has started to lift.
just wondering if there is anything i should\shouldn't use to stick it down.
cheers

Industrial-grade double sided tape (very thin) is standard on all badgework, and it's design property is such that it usually will not take paintwork off with it when removed. It has been affected by moisture then dust, causing loss of adhesion. As the original adhesive is now unserviceable that best option is to ditch the entire badge for a new one. Alternatively, remove the whole badge, then go over the rear to remove all traces of the old adhesive with metho or turps (metho usually works). Dry thoroughly, then apply a very thin line of Tarzan's Grip. Allow to become tacky, then press into place. If the badge is noticeably warped/bowed, this may not work. Don't use superglue as it runs and once it dribbles down onto the paintwork there is no recourse to removing it without damage.

Just get a new badge from Holden, pretty sure the badge is around the $15 - 20. If you want a HSV there about $90. The only other way would be to take that badge off, clean all the tape off it and re tape it yourself.
