removing door handles

hey guys im just undergoing sum maitenence on my car and i notice my outside door andglae have paint flaking of and i want to respreay them or install chrome ones
how do i go about taking them out

Yeah if anyone knows an easy way that would be great, the paint on mine has started to flake off also. Makes you wonder exactly how much effort was put into painting these in the first place huh?

Remove door trims, peel back plastic liner thingy on the door, undo two 10mm bolts that hold the door handle retainer bracket in, disconnect door lock mechanism rods. Voila... Door handle out!!


Bit more to it than that, but basically thats whats involved
