Hi gues,
well i have an annoying error which i believe to be caused by the ECM malfunctioning.
I got a price for a second hand one at $175, new from Holden they are $808.
When i was at Holden i asked the guy if its possible to mate a ECM from another car up too the system in my car, he said its not possible unless the ECM is de-programmed BEFORE it's taken off the donor car. I have since spoken too a auto electrician who believes this is not so.
Has anyone had any experience with this? i.e had there ECM replaced with a second hand one? if i can save myself $600 odd that's be great.
Cheers.
not sure mate, but check the QLD section, we are having a cruise to coolangatta from yatala with a few people on the forum and others.
