VZ SS weird noise/smell

I'm away at work currently and the mrs has stated my cars making weird noises when started...

Apparently it's a loud ringing noise coming from close to the fan belt and smells like burning rubber too???


Any ideas? If not i'll be taking it to holden when im back

does she know how to open the bonnet? if so open it and check for anything rubber on metal... otherwise tell her to sign up for roadside and they should tell her the problem!

I took it to holden today

it actually turned out my power steering rack/pump had a leak in it, it had ended up being run competely dry.. need a new power steering rack yay..
