hi guys i have a 2005 vz equipe now just wondering if anyone else's brake pedal squeaks when applied especially when it rains also with the stereo off i can here like a ssshhh sound when the brake pedal is released is this the brake assist or the abs also brakes are working great so any help would be good as its peeving me off thank you
perhaps you need to check the condition of your pads, replace them if neccessary or try some brake cleaner!
Life starts at 200km/h
just had them replaced and machined 2000km ago you can tell its coming from the pedal itself
my pedal itself feels grainy sometimes, dunno what that is though
also can anyone here like a ssshhh sound when you release the brakes when the cabin is quiet
mine only does it if i park on a downward slope and pull the handbrake up, i think my problem is from the handbrake not releasing properly.
does yours do it all the time? or only at certain times? what wheel is the shhh comming from?
hi richard its the brake pedal making the sshh when i release the brake during everyday driving its not loud or anything sounds like vacuum pressure or something
hmm, im not too sure, has it been there all the time?
well i usually drive with my stereo on so not sure but i do think its normal just curious
did it do it before you got the brakes replaced? possibly might be worth taking the car to the mech who did the brakes (if you didnt do it yourself) and just get them to check it, just to make sure. good luck
yeah mate mine duse same thing my mechanic said nuthing to be concernd about just a rubber boot or some thing like that but let me no how u go after seeing the shop that done your brakes if it's some thing that needs fixing thanks
Lay some cardboard over the floormat and spray some WD40 up into the pedal arm. My clutch did the same thing not too long ago. This will fix it if the sound only appears when the pedal moves. If its the brakes themselves, theres something wrong with the pads.
not my brakes but my accel makes a plastic rubbing squeaky noise sometimes, really annoying but you're not alone
