just wondering what options are there on coilovers
theres the pedders range
tein ss
ive been trying to find more info on bc ones but there doesnt seem to be anything on any of the aussie sites
what other options are there?
thanks
Not sure where abouts you are in Oz.... so give(Click on the links...)Wholesale Suspension or Heasmans Steering And Sydney Shocks a call.
They are not locked down to any manufacturer and will even custom build something for you.... otherwise Pedders XA stuff is good, but I'm over Pedders stuff.
yea i would like bilstein shocks and matched lowered springs but im worried bout wheel clearance so thats why i was thinkin coilovers
out of interest why are you over pedders?
over priced?
Cause the money you fork out is not worth the quality you get... when you can spend a little more to get so much better quality gear.(This is from experience/testing).
For me the clincher is the tactics employed and the ethics of the franchisers/owners/worker @ many of their stores.
yea fair enough
there seems to be a bit of info on the net indicating that their xa coilovers are rebadged bc racing ones which are $800 cheaper
so what have you found was the best mate?
thanks for your input btw
=)
Coilovers will never(EVER) give you a better ride.... so having said this it depends what you are trying to achieve?
lowered height for daily driving
but most likely go air bags in the rear for towing
i was also worried bout wide wheel clearance with the strut thats why i was thinking coilover
if there was no good coilover i wouldve gone bilstein insert with weld on coilover sleeve as i have done this to a previous car
you have to be careful because a coil over coil sits lower on the strut body down past the tyre where a normal strut is above your tyre.
yea i was hoping that since it has a skinnier coil it shouldnt foul
fingers crossed lol
the od of the coil is aprox 85-90mm where the normal strut body is aprox 65-75mm.
