hi all, got 18 inch rims on my tyres just wondering what tyre pressure u reccomend for short distance driving less then 45 minutes each day roughly! use to drive to sydney and back from newcastle everyday but that has changed now!
cheers
I run 38psi.
+ 1 on 38, Running 19", 36 I found more Sloppy, and 40 found less grip lol
Yes, 35 to 38psi would be a pretty good ballpark figure (CORSA C2233 235/45x17; 38 all around).
Remember that the psi rate will go up as the car is driven at speed (to around 40-45psi), and that low profile tyres require a higher psi because of less volume. That's the risk with deep potholes.
Inflate for conditions and as per tyre manufacturer. Higher pressures can give a slight improvement in fuel economy but correspondingly a little less grippy and of course, low profiles are very choppy, but still super-grippy.

I run 36psi cold on the 18's.
40psi on 18" medium distances and motorway driving
your always going to get differing opinions, then it also depends on the brand/profile of the tyre.
Personally I run mine at 38psi (cold) all round too, but it can really be anywhere from say 36 - 40 I guess
