Hi everyone,
I'm trying to find out how to adjust the brake light switch. Mine comes on a bit late - I particularily notice it when deactivating cruise control. When pushing the pedal to do this, I find the car braking before I push down further to deactivate cruise. It's a VZ SS auto.
Thanks in advance...
wind it out a little bit, they are in a prick of a spot to get to tho... can get a couple fingers on it usually tho
Prey tell, disengaging the cruise with the brake should be instant no lag, no wait, falls back quickly. The safe operation of the cruise control, both engaging and disengaging, is exceptionally important, on same level as efficiency of brakes. I find it much easier to press the button to pause/stop rather than brake , unless some Brooklyn bomber lane-changes without adequate clearance, in which case a touch of the brake would be done and doubtless firmly!
I love the Holden techies' way of saying things: "they are in a prick of a spot to get to tho". We are truly blessed they can tell the situation the way it is!![]()

Cars arent designed to be worked on I can tell you that much !!
My vocabulary never contained so many curse words prior to working on cars..

Follow the brake pedal upwards you will see a switch resting against the pedal, as you push the pedal the switch moves and activates.

well i wouldnt wanna get someones hopes up by saying its in an easy spot haha....
its a white switch with a black connector with 4 wires coming out of it... its rite at the top of your brake pedal lever and the steering column pretty much prevents your hand from getting a decent hold of it which is why its so hard to change/adjust
