Did the VZ SSZ come out with the L76 6.0ltr or just the 5.7ltr LS1, I see that holden started production of the SSZ in sept 2005 and made 930 so it may of spilled into 06 and MY06 SS`s had 260kw 6.0ltrs. thanks in advance.
Nope, I believe it was 5.7L only. They never made the "MY06" upgrade of the VZ into a SSZ as far as I remember.
some Vz's did come out with a 6.0L... it was the L76 engine
SSZ only had the 5.7L engine.
The SSZ was basically an upgrade pack on the SS Holden introduced essentially to get move of the 5.7L stock in anticipation of the release of the 6.0L.
Hope that helps.
According to author Terry Bebbington 60 years of Holden, from January 2006 all V8's were 6.0 litre L76 and LS2.
For the 2006 model year, the 5.7 litre Gen 3 (LS1) V8 was superseded (in regular production) by the L76 version of the 6.0 litre Gen 4 V8.
These changes were carried out to comply with the new Euro 3 (ADR 79/01) regulations which came into effect on 1st of January 2006
