After buying my VZ second hand at that start of this year and using it all this time, something strange has happened...
I used to leave my lights on the 'auto' setting and leave the radio switched on, when I turned the vehicle off and removed the key, closed the door and then locked the car using the key button this would turn all the electrics off...... (the lights and the radio for example)
However now when I do this it doesn't turn anything off, the radio stays on and the lights stay on....??
What have I done and how can I get it to go back to how it was....?
Ok so when I took it in to get serviced I told the mechanic about this; turns out it is just a setting that you can alter... ie; you can change the settings for loads of stuff, for example; whether the car unlocks both doors or just the drivers door when you push the unlock button on your key, whether the car beeps when you lock and unlock it; turn the radio off when the key is ignition is turned off; optimise fuel usage for the type of fuel you use (regular, premium, etc...)
So he set it to everything how I like it, except one thing.....
The head lights stay on when I have it on the 'auto' setting and turn the ignition off..... Without taking it back to him does anyone know how to adjust this setting....?
happend to me a couple of times, but it corrected itself. i think it may have to do with that little button on the door where the hinges are, the one that when you open the doors the interior light comes on. sorta had a fiddle with that and it stoped the headlights from staying on after i lock the car. dunno how it would be related but give it a go
