hey guys
my mate has a vz svz ute, she isnt the cluiest person when it comes to cars, i had a look, but wanted to check b4 i started pulling things apart incase anyone has had this problem and its an easy fix.
one- the RH high-low keeps blowing fuses,, everytime u put a new one in, it blows straight away, im thinking earth problem somewhere?
and two- the fog lights dont seem to work, one dosnt work at all, and the other just very lighty glows, thinking also a loose earth os something similar? and also where the fuses for the fogs are, i cant seem to find it?
hoping some one knows the easy fix![]()
thanks guys
The left hand fog-light gets power through the left hand headlamp fuse, which is located in the engine compartment fuse and relay box.
The right hand fog light gets power through the right hand headlamp fuse, which is also located in the engine compartment fuse and relay box.
When the fog lamp relay is energised, which is also in the engine compartment fuse and relay box, it provides the earth for both fog lamps. So check that the head lights are working and if so, I would check for a proper earth when the fog lamp relay is energised. If you are not getting a proper earth try replacing the relay.
The right hand headlight does have a short to earth for the fuses to continue blowing. So I would check the right hand headlight globe to make sure it is not shorted to earth.
