How to remove vz executive exterior door trim?

hey guys, ive got a vz exec and want to get rid of the trim on the doors. not sure if they are screwed or glued on, so i dont wanna try taking them off unless i know. or if they cant be removed ill just paint them to match the car. any advise would be great

WINDOW REGULATOR
If you have window winders, remove using window winder removal tool. If you have power windows, disgregard this step.


DOOR INNNER TRIM PANEL
1. Use a pointed instrument to remove the locking knob red/orange tab. The red section fixes the locking know to the door lock rod. Lift the locking knob off the locking rod.

2. Remove the locking knob plastic surround. (1 screw)

3. Remove the 7 - front and 6 - rear) screws from the base and sides of the trim.

4. Remove the mirror covers from the inside of the front door(s). Pull cover off and back to free the cover from the central support.
Remove the inner door control handle and plastic surround, pry out screw cover and remove screw. Pull remote control assembly to the front, unclip lever from rod and remove.

5. Push the centre of the door trim in (near the arm rest), then lift (tap up with your hand) door inner trim up to remove. A clip is located behind the centre of the inner door.

6. Disconnect all electrical connectors to switches and lights on the trim



TO RE-INSTALL
1. Place trim close to door and connect wiring connectors.

2. Carefully position the door trim on the door aligning back of inner trim with the clip bracket on the door shell.

3. Once the door trim is in position re-install the attachments, such as window winder regulator handle, door handle (pull rod forward, position door handle lever behind rod, fit the handle into position) and screw on mouldings, plus push the mirror cover into place.
Replace the screws (7 - front and 6 - rear) from the base of the trim.

4. Position door locking knob over rod into correct position, then push in orange/red retaining clip.

thanks for the info champ but as i said its the exterior trim, the black stripe that runs along the outside of a VZ,
