    Default rotor upgrade

hey guys, i am in need of some new pads, and rotors need to be machined. however, the cost to get someone replace pads and machine rotor are more expensive than some slotted RDA rotors on ebay. just wondering what you guys think of these products, good or bad? worth the price? any help appreciated.

RDA and DBA are the 2 of the top players in the brake market so the RDA's should be ok.
V8 brutes used to race on them , not sure if they still do.

tempting.... does that include the pads as well? and is it as easy as unbolt one rotor and replace or a bit more than that?

you dont even have to unbolt the rotors because its the wheel that keeps it on there once you have taken off the calliper of course 2 bolts, you may have to use a rubber mallet to give it a tap but they are easy as to change.
    EDIT:im to slow again

It's worth noting that when changing the rotors you need to make sure the mating surface on the hub is clean of any rust and scale. Best bet is to get a set of wire wheels from Super Cheap and put them in a drill to clean up the surface to a shiny metal finish. The rotors may not run true if the hub surface is not cleaned.

Using a rubber mallet is recommeneded when you are refitting the old rotors but if you replacing them with new rotors then any big hammer will do the job to remove the old rotors that may be rusted onto the mating surface.
Afterall you will be throwing the old rotors away so damaging them doesn't matter.

one more thing, if you still can't get the old rotor off, im not too sure if standard rotors have this, but my dads OEM DBA's had them, there might be 3 little holes on the rotor, just find a botl that screws into it, and the screw will press against the hub and take the rotor with the screw, as i said, dunno if genuine holden rotors have it, but on my parents vy acclaim that had standard DBA replacements in it, it did, cheers mate
