Hey again guys and girls. Has anyone else encountered this with their VZ? I have an executive sedan which has (I think) a diff whine which seems to kick in between 45-55km/h. It's not terribly loud but I'm the type of person that listens out for things when I notice them and they drive me crazy til they're fixed. Should I get it looked at?
Take it to a Diff. Specialist and let them diagnose for you. Sounds like 'carrier bearings' may be on the way out - particularly if the car has been abused/driven hard. Should you get it looked at ? Really up to you but if as you say you are the type of person that listens out for 'sounds' then as the bearing nosies get worse it will drive you crazy !
Thanks Benboy. I might go and do that. It definitely isn't as bad as your typical Falcon taxi but it's a little noticeable (unless I turn up the stereo). The car itself is an ex-fleeter, my wife works for a fleet management company and I got a good deal on it about 2 years ago, full service history, ok kms, no accidents and almost no chance it was abused by your typical mid management fleet type![]()
