G'day,
I was just wondering if I could get a second opinion on a quote I got for some work done to my car. The quote is as follows.
-Front King Springs $150.50 per pair.
-Rear King Springs $181.50 per pair. (Superlows)
(Supplied and fitted and wheel alligned for $512 complete.
He reccomends that if I'm going SL's that I put short shocks in the front and rear. The package with the springs and shocks, supplied, fitted and wheel aligned would be $980 complete.
To get the guards rolled for my 19" Konig rims that are going in would be $150.
So all up to fit my new rims, roll the guards, put short shocks on and new SL springs come to $1130.
Opinions?
Cheers.

id say if you want to save some money, buy some spring clamps, and the springs you want, then fit them up yourself, fit the rims yourself, drive to the tyre place and have them rolled and wheel alignment. should be pretty straight forward id imagine. buy springs on ebay for 200-300, wheel alignment 40 and rolled guards 150, so u would be at 500, thats half price! lol
Thanks for that mate, you've given me a new outlook![]()

+1 on the DYI effort... though get the front springs done by a suspension place unless you're a patient person.
I found it a pain in the arse job doing the front springs, the rest is easy.
My old man is a mechanic, so there shouldn't be too much trouble!
This joint just had a "Special" on all of this fitting and parts etc.

Oh, if youre old man is a mechanic then you're laughing! It'll cost you half a day and a slab!![]()
contact GSL rallysport (forum sponsor) for a better quote on the parts....
I got my ultralows fitted at Pedders for $200 plus $70 wheel allignment. I did the rears myself to save a bit of dough. No need to roll the guards on ultralows, so why roll on superlows? Mine tucks 18s on the front and does'nt rub at all. It's a ute, but the principle is the same. Not sure if the rears on a sedan are struts or not, if theyre not, do them yorself and save a fistfull of cash.
Did'nt bother with lowered shocks (just a gimmick) It rides fine and handles great. Just don't forget to pop the springs back in after jacking the back up! You'll ne on bumpstops otherwise =P
My whole job incl. parts. Was under $500. Springs were $180 off Ebay, Durashock is the brand.
