How do you remove it?
lol this thread made my day! just pull them up, comes right off
I just don't want to break it :P
You won't !!
hahah they just lift right off buddy
Yeah but there is also a time when you should man up and give something a go.. Thumbs are the difference between us and the apes... we have them and we evolved... You wont break anything mate, lol.. when you put them back on, replace the rubber mounts to the engine covers, makes them go on easier

i think he would look good with a clean shaven face... maybe a haircut too. if someone could photoshop this pic with a clean shaven face and a haircut that would be the funniest thing ever haha
One of the clips on mine is broken so there must be at least one mechanic out there who can't pull them off without breaking them!
"... there's a school of mechanical thought which says I shouldn't be getting into a complex assembly I don't know anything about. I should have training or leave the job to a specialist. That's a self-serving school of mechanical eliteness I'd like to see wiped out." - Robert Prirsig
maybe when they were putting it back on it wasnt lined up properly and used too much force. the clips are only plastic
Same happened to mine. Mechanic & too much muscle snapped the front clip on the right side. Not worth the hassle / cost to replace it.
First you will need thick pair of pointy nose pliers, then a plastic magnet. As you remove the spirit level bubble, ask for a long weight at Repco. When you get back take those two things on the end of your arms and wrap them around the cover. Use your metric shifter to undo the top of a beer and call yourself a mechanic.
You need a populating tool to remove the spirit level bubble.

yeh but they only sell the left handed screwdriver version which is useless in our hot market unless you have a currency adapter.Oh shit, that's right. You can pick one o those up at your local bunnings.
Lol sorry I couldnt help myself.
I do agree with the point tho if your not sure ask, that's why the forums here and originally I wasn't sure either, Ecotecs have little nuts whereas Alloytecs have no nuts at all!
Although when people start asking questions about braking systems or other areas that they shouldn't touch if they have NFI ... thats when I start to worry
