Door Trim Inserts ?

Im curious if anyone has modified or has the DIY know how of how to change and redo the door trim inserts, im slowly repainting my interior in metallic silver (as with the outside of my car) and black, thanks to jimmybobrowe's guide. im looking to do inserts for the doors so match with it all... Would prefer to do this myself as its much more satisfying, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Yea mate I done mine, all you have to do is take the door trims off, and pull away the mat thing that's stuck on the back, that will reveal some clips, use a set of pliers or something similar to twist them off (they act like screws), once you have them all of, then your cloth trim part should come away. May take some force to get them out. Once you have them out, I carefully peeled off the old cloth trim, it came away quite easily, just make sure you don't rush it because you could pull the foam bit out which means when you put stick the new cloth trim on it won't be straight. Once you have the cloth off, you can use kwik-grip (I think selleys makes it) to stick on your new inserts and you can buy a can for like $20 from bunnings. Anyways good luck, hope this helps.

Nice, yeh this does help alot !! I'll definately give this a go, will have to source some nice leather to throw in or something, i will post pics up when done (if i can pull of a nice job lol) thanks heaps.
