Vt and vz struts are they interchangeable?

So I have a lowered VT and a stock VZ, just wondering if I can swap out the strut from the VT into the VZ to save time getting the springs out.

The upper sway bar link mounting is different on the VZ. The VT uses rubber bushes at both ends whereas the VZ used balljoints.

So is there no way it can happen?

You might be able to adapt the VT strut by modifying the upper link mounting or removing it and welding a bracket similar to the VZ's on. Have a good look at the two and see how they vary, then go from there.

Not to keen on modifing the actual strut. Just because I don't have compressors or a rattle gun on me I thought this would be easier.

Swap the sway bar over and then you can do it

The struts are all interchangeable with the only difference being the sway bar link bracket.
Nolathane make different styles of swaybar links that will suit either strut with any style sway bar.
The sway link bracket is the same for VT-VY (flat horizontal) then vertical for the VZ.
This link although designed for VX2-VY should allow Vt sway bar with VZ strut. (you may need to change the bushes to swaybar type bushes as the ones shown are the bushes that attach onto the strut ). The ball joint on the VX2-VY attaches to the swaybar.
