Black power window switch into VZ Executive

I recently bought one of these off ebay as i have just sprayed the dash black and wanted this to match

it is just the two front power windows in the dark ss/calais/hsv black colour.....

though when plugged in....it isnt working at all.....

is this an easy fix or may it be the bcm is rejecting it because it could be a vy one... :S

any help would be great!

maybe has different wiring, do you have a pic of it by chance?

needs to be from same model for sure and the same number of switches on it
as the wiring plug is the same but the pins are in different spots i think!~

so is that a job for an auto elec or is it just not possible

it was unknown what model it came from
but it looks exactly the same as a vz exec switch (two front power windows) just in the hsv ss black colour

for me to figure out which wires have to be moved or IF they have to be moved
i would need model and year and level(exec, calais, r8 etc etc) that the switch came from sorry

sorry...those do nothing for me lol...il have to get an auto elec to look at it once i sus wether its from a vy or vz

if its from a ute, they only have 2 windows lol... i dont think it would fit a sedan then...

seems from looking at diagrams that the pin on the bcm is different so that means that
two window one is low series bcm
and four is high
but one of those two window diagrams MUST be a mid series bcm

i know there are three dont ask me whats whats in telling from looking at it
i think it says it in a scantool though...

just fit one from same model with same switches there are different colour interiors so might have to hunt around a bit or buy it new?

ok so my vz exec only has two front power windows..so it does "look" like exactly the same switch...the guy doesnt know what model its from but he told me to check my fuse because it should be working

if it still works with your old one then fuse is okay (plug it bak in and try it)
if the fuse is blown then likely switch isnt the same outputs as old one e.g. power output in different location on socket

i would get another one if testing with old one and it all works
but MAKE SURE its from the same model and level e.g. exewc,calais etc.

il have to plug the old one back in to test but does this mean the modiication is impossible as the switches from ss/calais (black in colour) are different to the exec ones ?

baha...for all who want this mod...it does work..just helps when you remember to plug it in before putting dash back together!!
