4L60 Solenoid Change

Hey all,

I replaced the 1-2 "A" Shift Solenoid today due to previous gear change issues. When I removed the metal clip off the solenoid it popped out with a great deal of force. I checked the 3-4 Solenoid and it had to be pulled out, nothing like the A solenoid.
Basically the prior issue had been that it had a really harsh gear change between 1-2nd gears, It felt like there was to much line pressure.
So has anyone else who has replaced that solenoid found this issue or is there a further issue, after all it didnt fix the problem....

Well, your shift solenoid replacement is normal, 1-2 is pushed out with spring pressure, 2-3 is not. I however have no shift problems since I put in a transgo shift kit.
But a shift issue like that has to be hydraulic, not electrical.

Force motor (EPC solenoid) perhaps?
