hi mate i read in and older thread that you had a problem with a tapping sound from the drivers side lifters did you end up finding out what it was. cause i have a 06 vz sv6 thats doin same thing in that area and driving me nuts. thanks steve and it not the heat sheild

haha, should have just sent him a private message. but il answer ur Q, if the sound was like his link below, it was a timing chain tensioner i believe, hopefully its not what ur sound is like...

Are you sure the Alloytec has Lifters? I thought the Valve was actuated by the Camshafts. Get a video up of the sound
