Not a lot of difference in economy between 175 and 190 engines and as always, type of driving will determine what economy you get. A 12 month experiment I am running on my 175 VZ specifies PULP 95 or 98. Economy on 300km freeway runs with a 120kg load (which includes me and camping gear) stabilises at 7.9L/100km. Interestingly, with "everyman's 91 ULP", economy improves to 7.6L/100km with brief pokes at 7.5L/100. Any mods carried out will affect economy, often negatively.

Note that the SV6 is a more powerful engine, so will get around about the figures being quoted here by owners of these engines. For big cars, the Alloytecs can deliver surprising economy on very long stretches of road, but it's all relative to what you are carrying and driving style — I have a kid-glove approach!

    Hi mate, got an 06 SV6, I average 11.4L - 12L / 100 kms if using E10.
10.5L - 11L / 100 kms if using 98 octane. These figures are mixed highway and urban/city driving. Stock standard car, no mods, and gives it a bit every now and then lol.

My 04 Vz Sv6 runs at 12.21 L/100kms in city full of traffic lights and around 10 - 11 on the motorway.
