I got the info from this site some days ago re: resetting the computer display when you have completed the service on the VZ. But it did not work all the way. I held down the up and down arrows turn off the ignition etc etc I got the screen to reset but when I hit the set button it does not reset..I tried this formula several times but it would not reset. Do I need to complete any other service..I changed oil and filter, checked all fluids. drained radiator and run some flush thru it and drained and refilled. check all levels. Can anyone help me out there...Regards Annie
Do what you were doing to get to the screen that says "reset service reminder" or something like that, then hold the set button for like 3 seconds, til it goes beepdidlybeep, then turn your ignition off, and hey presto!
Should work. Maybe. It might.
And, probably post in the right section, this is the wrong section![]()

Annie, get your guns out!
Print this out and take it with you to the car, then follow carefully.
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Hold down the trip computer UP and DOWN buttons together.
3. Turn the ignition ON while still holding down both buttons.
4. After approx 3 seconds, release both buttons.
5. The service menu appears and asks if you want to reset.
6. Press and hold the SET button for more than 3 secs.
7. Press the MODE button.
8. Turn ignition OFF.
"Service reset no items" or similar should display on the screen after this procedure.
Do not confuse this with the more pointed "Service Vehicle Soon" or SVS indicator: this means that engine requires an unscheduled service somewhere, usually with a corresponding Trouble or Fault Code.
