My 2005 VZ Ute doesn't have ABS

Why doesn't my 2005 VZ Ute have ABS Anti-lock Brakes?
Shouldn't it be standard for a 2005 model?

The Stock VZ ute does not come standard with ABS. If its the Storm or the S pack It comes standard.

Oh really? That sucks. i would assume that by a 2005 model it'd be standard. My mate from work has a 2001 acclaim wagon and it has ABS. Not happy, i wish i knew more about cars 6 months ago otherwise i wouldn't have bought it for so much. Thanks for your help mate, muchly appreciated.

It's pretty much the base model, so they cut down on the safety features to keep the cost down to make it more appealing to the tradies and for people who just want a nice cheap work ute. |
My advice if you're really down, trade it in on a Storm or S pack.

Acclaims had ABS standard since 1995, possibly even the VR . Remember it does nothing most of the time and really only activates once you lock up a wheel. Is good tho.
The lesson for you is never buy an executive if you can afford a higher model.
