Default Replacing Standard Headunit with touchscreen headunit sv6

    Hey guys,
Im new to these forums, (used to frequent the ls1 forums before my ss got stolen 5 weeks ago). Anyhow ive gone and bought myself a vz sv6 impulse blue and im pretty stoked with it other than the 100rwkw power drop.

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before but through a brief use of the search button i couldnt really get the answer i was after.

First thing on the agenda to change in the new car is to put a pioneer touch screen headunit in place of the standard one. I have read somewhere you lose a few of the options in the dash menu. Im just wanting to know which options exactly i will lose?

Thanks in advance for your answers and i look forward to talking with you all about all sorts of car stuff!.

    Cheers, Tim

Thanks alot mate. I dont plan on installing myself. I just want to make sure i dont lose ability to change stuff like headlight sensetivity, lock doors when start car etc which is what ive heard people lost when changing the head unit over.

the only options you will lose is the ones that have to do with the stereo, as in auto volume and speed dependant volume etc

Thank you guys for the quick replies. Now i just have to find the right headunit (for the right price)... Then convince the minister of finance it would be a good idea to do speakers and amp at the same time

Haha good lock with the minister just be aware that uping the stereo is addictive i have spent $4500 so far and are looking at spending $2500 more on new amps and a custom boot enclosure.

Haha thanks for the well wishes. Not going too badly. First up just gonna do the headunit and some alpine type R splits in the front. Then after tax time ill replace the rear door speakers and get an amp. I'm undecided as to whether or not I'll get a sub (I like my boot space).
