List of h/u that look good and work with steering wheel controls

Hi guys want to know what headunits look good and connect to the steering wheel controls without the cat module.Still not sure about double or single din,ipod input a bonus too.And before anyone says not another stereo thread i did a search and they were old threads so dont want to put in a dinosaur headunit thanks mike

I didn't think any modesl worked wiout the CAT module?

i havent come across a unit that works out of the box with steering wheel controls.

make sure the unit you buy has a wired steering wheel input, so no cheap units.

aerpro now does a steering wheel adapter, runs about $99 plus the adapter to each specific headunit brand.

or you can buy a PAC audio controller off ebay usa for i think around $60 or so.

my mate has a blaupunkt head unit and im pretty sure the steering wheels work still. i think there was some more wires or something that he adapted to it. give your local car audio store a call, they will know of any or how to get around the problem

Thanks guys i asked autobarn about it 6 months ago and they said i will need a cat with most of the h/u which is $250 fitted plus $88 for h/u installed then $ 200 for 2 amp kits installed than the speakers phew hardly worth it but i have 1500 worth of subs and amps sitting there saying play me.So im calling out to anyone who has a good h/u no dearer than $500 if possible as i trust you than some salesman at a dealer thanks
