Default plastic strip peeling - how do i re-adhere it?

    hi

With every opening of the driver door the plastic strip is catching on the wheel arch panel and making a dreadful cracking sound. After each crack the strip is increasingly peeling away.

how do i re-adhere the strip? is there a special kind of double sided tape i should be using? i also assume the existing adhesive would need to be cleaned right back with something.

    thank you

Did you sort out this problem? I just noticed that mine is starting to lift. I'm tossing up either re-sticking it and painting it to match the car or just taking it off.
