Hi guys,
am seriously looking at buying a vz wagon with aftermarket ELKO injected lpg system..have taken it for a drive and feels ok..the only problem (if you can call it that) was when i brought it back to the owers house on a steep driveway, it came up with a "fuel gauge error" or something like that..it was low on fuel anyway..anyone have any ideas on this..
also is this ELKO system better than the factory lpg setup that was sold with this car?
would it be a sequentual setup?
thanks for youre help
Some direct injected systems you can fine tune, and some people set them up to run lean this can throw up warning messages.
I run a KING LPG Direct Injected system and Dont get any errors as the program they loaded onto the system has been tuned to the best with out throwing up error codes etc.
No Aftermarket system is better than the true factory setup, but saying that im very happy with my setup and havent had any issue, just remb that if the car is 05 model or lower that the LPG system only is vaild for 10 years before it has to be re tested.
error could be just be the fuel all falling to one side of the tank and the float being on the other
May not be the LPG at all. A few people I've spoken to (particuarly VZ/V6 owners) have had faulty petrol gauges, where it doesn't register and display fuel properly.
I'm fairly certain the manual mentions this warning, and it indicates a fault with the fuel gauge (petrol) itself.

The VZ is here! About time!
so how would this error be corrected..i cant see why it would be an error if the fuel isnt on the gauge..it should just say low fuel warning
