    Talking Fat Bars

Just a question to those who have replaced their sway bars with some fatter ones.
    1. What size have you gone on both F & R?
    2. Are you happy with your choice or would you go fatter?
    3. What brand bars have you installed?
    4. Is it worth installing adjustable bars on both F & R?
Any other input on helping me decide on what diameter to purchase would be much appreciated.

I put a set of Whiteline non-adjustable swaybars in my VY ute - I can remember the rear was 28mm but I can't remember the front. The rear one was excellent - it made it corner so much better, but it did oversteer in the wet a bit easier.

My HSV Z already has a 28mm front bar and I fitted a whiteline 18mm (up from 15mm HSV std) and it helped take out the pushing feeling (understeer) you get with std suspension.
I have just purchased a Whiteline 30mm adjustable for the front and hope to fit it up soon and try the different settings before I decide if I need an even bigger rear bar (20mm) or go for the djustable one for the rear.

Thanks guys. Keep the feedback coming.

Was looking at fitting a 28mm (already have) and adjustable 18mm rear. The vehicle is a V6 executive.

I spoke to a guy at Whiteline about whether to upgrade my 18mm rear for the adjustable one when I do the front and he said wait and see how it handles.
He also told me that the adjustable 18mm which only has 2 settings acts like a 19 on the hard setting and a 17 on the softer setting which is probably why he said wait and see.

It would be pretty stiff with a 30 and 20. I think they are recommended for track use.

How does it handle in the wet currently?

It would only be 30+mm in the front with rear only 18mm as I don't have the rear adjustables at the moment.
Handling in the wet is good because unlike most people I have "not" fitted super stiff lowered springs as I want to keep the soft ride with my HSV luxury springs and Koni Yellow Sports adjustable shocks.
The shocks have enough adjustment to dial in more stiffness for dry or high speed driving or soften off for the wet.
Your springs and shock specs have more to do with wet behaviour than do the sway bars.
But that is one reason I'm going with an adjustable front bar so I can play with the settings.
In the wet it is better to have a slightly understeering car as it is less likely to come back and bite you if you overcorrect a slide in wet conditions.
In the dry oversteer can be fun if you are not stupid and pick only deserted roads to push your handling.
