Default Lowering Rear only and keeping stock front Fe2

    Hi guys,

Might be a stupid question, i only want to lower the rear of my car as it sits too high, i like the stock height of Fe2 on the front as i sit nicely on car park gutters and my drive ways a B*** so is my works, and my main priority is handling im not after a cruiser im after something you can throw into a corner and expect a half good result, so lowering the rear is for mainly looks, i want the car too look lowered, and sit some what evenly

i was thinking SSL's on the back with maybe pedders.
will i need to change my shocks all round?
can someone recommend some good products/set ups for what im after.

    cheers

SSL rears with fe2 fronts will not only look stupid, it will handle crap. it will give the car more understeer than it already has. will sit nose high.

SL is really as low as you want to go without completely ruining your handling. it keeps the suspension geometry in 'around' where it was designed to be. it should be pretty much even in ride height, maybe a tad lower at the rear.

remember, lower doesnt mean better handling.

    Meant SL's no SS's sorry*

Alright so it was a stupid question :P So as old mate is implying a different setup would be best suited, to achieve better handling.
what about Sl's all round on a set of 19's with pedders shocks?

yeah mate, if you lower the rear on sl's might aswell do the fronts to suit... it wont lower the fronts much anyway!

19's will look good with sl's

While you're at it ask the suspension shop to add massive camber on the rear to look like another busted arse P Platers heap of #### Commodore with a half arsed lowering job...

If your looking at better handling. Save some decent coin and do it properly and professionally. Not peice-meal or half-arsed, like me!

My advice would be check out GSL Rallysport in the sponsor section
and if you're serious about handling, whiteline sway bars FTW!

May I suggest coil overs? Much better handling and adjustable height (if you know how to do it that is). If you want better handling, coil overs are the way to go, that along with a strut bar, sway bar and some light wheels with good tires
