    Default SSV WHeels on VZ

    Hey.

Now, I know the hub has to be milled out, and I will need new nuts. Anyone know a place that does it in Perth for a good price? Also, what nuts do I need?

One last thing, what size tires (and brand) do you recommend for 19" SSV wheels?

I used Gomers Engineering in the Cannignton area he charged $30 a wheel and did a great job.

I used the nuts that came with the car and have had no issues.

I run 245/35/19 in maxxis victra, awesome all round tyre that generally sells for $249 a pop at bob janes.

Personally I disagree. We mounted VE R8 wheels on dad's VT using standard nuts and within 2 days they were loose. We're not short on muscle to tighten them either...

If you want to get new nuts, you need 'VE-style VZ nuts'. Basically, VE wheel threads are 14mm, VN-VZ are 12mm. The VE nuts help centre the rim better on the studs and the design locks it in place better. But as the VE nuts are too big, you need smaller thread size that does the same job as the VE nuts.

    Just my 2c from experience.

I've had my SSV's on for 2 months now with the same nuts I used on my previous set of wheels and none have come loose at all, however I used a pneumatic drill...
