Default How to replace VZ Boot Decals

The "Commodore" and "Acclaim" boot decals / silver logos have both come off recently, probably because my boot was re-painted about 2 years ago.
Could someone tell me the correct way to affix these so they don't keep coming off.
Double sided tape ?? or maybe glue ??
