vz ss ute key wont turn in barrel plz help reall ergent

so i wewnt to start my car today but i put the key in and it wouldnt turn the stearing wheel was locked so i couldnt turn the key to on and the stearring wheel continued to stay locked willl i need to replace the barrel and keys ? ergent help

get a locksmith to come out and replace the barrel he will rekey it to fit the keys you have now mine done the same thing a few weeks ago.

turn the key while turning the wheel

Tap the end of the key with something like a small hammer while turning it at the same time.

9 times out of 10 this works.
