close to doing the 105k service on the sv6

can i use nulon 10w - 40 fully synthetic
OR
10w - 30

Either, really.

Anything fully syn in a 5w or a 10w will be fine.

Use a good oil though. Steer clear of Magnatec.

I used it in my VZ when I first serviced it, and it became very noisy. I'm not the first to complain of noise after using it either.

Next time I changed it I used Mobil Super 2000, which is a semi-syn 10w-40, quietened it right down, felt like it ran smoother, and I haven't looked back.

But considering yours is the SV6 and I dare say you drive it a bit harder, I'd go with a full syn.
