Hey guys,
I bought this voucher from scoopon thinking it would save me some cash for my upcoming service. After dropping my VZ SV6 ('05) off this morning they just rang up and told me it would be around $400 in total as my brake pads and fuel filter also needed replaced (on top of the 93k service). They also said spark plugs were coming up at 100k but not to worry until next service. Since labour is meant to be included, as I have already spent $79 getting the voucher, am I getting ripped off?
If you guys could advise me on the cost of parts for this service it would be much appreciated, as this is the amount apparently only meant to be charged. And I drove all the way from the gold coast to enoggera for this?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Jamie
hahahaha how is that worth $769?
brake pads around $80-100
fuel filter $15
definatly not worth 400
buy the parts yourself and get them to fit it.
Fit them yourself even cheaper
yeah, you got ripped, my 90k service was $250
like bignielson said, fuel filter $15 and brakes 80 to 100..
even if they did a full flush there is no way it should cost that much.
but in saying this, prices seem to vary quite a bit from dealer to dealer...
from what i remember to, spark plugs don't get changed until 120k....
Chev badges are an instant fail
They would of Machined your rotors as well, but still that's generally only $40 per rotor.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
Yeah they did, think they charged around $90. Also got some sythetic oil for $60 plus they charged labour for replacing front brake pads when I thought this was included (around $95 off memory) - what the hell did I pay $79 for? haha
Will post the itemised invoice tonight. Getting over being ripped off, can anyone recommend a decent garage in Brisbane for my next service? and yes if I had the time I would have figured out how to do it myself.
