Default 8.5" VE GTS Wheels - 40 Profile

Will a 40 profile tyre fit the VZ and not obstruct the turning circle? Will be machine 8.5" VE GTS wheels - 19".

I'd probably stick to a 35 profile really, that's what I've ran on all of my 19's and haven't had a problem

Yeah, but the wheels I'm buying off a mate come with tyres that are 40 profile, they're 19/245/40

Well I reckon they'd rub - on my 35's I haven't really got that much room to spare at the front as it is.
Also, your speedo will be out.

there is only a 5% difference in the tyre ratio what you need to do is put one on your car with load and test it out,and your speedo will be out as soon as you change your wheel and tyre size from factory sizes anyway

Not true. Mine with 245/35/19's is perfect. I'm not sure how you'll go with 8.5" wide wheels up the front either.

What are you saying not true to? 35 means tyre ratio which is 35% of the width which is 245 so 40 would be 40% ratio which is 5% diff so it would depend on how lowered the car is for the 40s to be able to fit in my opinion, but my opinion doesnt count if Im wrong

That part. My ute came with 245/40/18's on it, I now have 245/35/19's on it and the speedo registers the same. It's all to do with adjusting the tyre height to compensate for the rim.
