Question Pacemaker headers, What cats fit?

Ey guys i have pacemaker headers that fit my VZ SV6 but the dude who is doing it says i have to get cats that will fit onto the pacemaker headers.
    Pacemaker part no: PH 5069
I have a twin 2 1/4" if that helps at all.
    Thanks!
    Ryan
(Please don't tell me that i don't need cats as i already know that i just don't wanna risk scrapping them)

I don't think there are any bolt on cats for pacemakers on the alloytec. I know Hurricane make bolt ons for their extractors.

Just get a couple of universal high flows and weld them in where the resonators are. The pacemakers need those pipes cut and flanges welded to them anyway.

2.25" or 2.50"? What would suit better?

The stock pipes are actually 2", I wouldn't go any bigger than 2 1/4".

hey, i have the Wl Caprice (alloytec) iv got the pacmaker extractors with a 2 1/4 catback, iv got some other aftermarket cats on but not sure of the brand.
i think that most aftermarket cats can be easily welded on. At the time of buying my exhaust set, through research there were a straight bolt on pacemaker cats but i coundnt get my hands on some in melb southeastern suberbs. The bad thing about them thou was that they were a 400 cell cat, which i found abit confusing cause i think that the stock cats are 400cells too. (not 100% sure)

upload a vid or sound clip of yours when you get it, i want to compare it with mine.

ill upload a vid of mine so u can get a rough idea.
i know this isnt answering your question but this may help in other ways. thanks

400 cell cats would be more than adequate on a V6. You are only running 3 cylinders through each cat, I think a 400 cell cat can cope with that.

The only thing that will alter with a high flow cat is the noise.

Hmmmm, i was told that the cats dont affect the noise at all when i was buying my exhaust system, maybe thats why my car sounds very low when its ideling.

    Yes, cats DO affect noise.

Experiment, blow a rasberry through your closed fist with a very small hole, then do it again with your hand opened up a bit. Gets louder doesn't it? Same with a cat, the more flow it has, the larger the holes are through the substrate.

I Agree with u on the change in sound but i also think it would effect the amount of exhaust flow too and therefore performance, maybe not enough to the point where u feel a difference, but i think there would be a slight change

I'm going to get my cats changed by putting some universal ones on my car, I have a very good feeling that they will gain some lost performance in my car as my cats are very old Ive done 60,000K's with them and I'm sure they have been on way longer than that!
VT V6 fitted with DMS gold 40mm coilovers, Whiteline adjustable swaybars & strut brace, 330mm AP racing brakes, Rebuilt 3.45:1 LSD and a Powerdyne supercharger

Hey mate sorry the video is taking so long, i have taken one on my brothers phone, its pretty shit but it may give you a rough idea.
As for the parts and how much they cost it goes like this,

    Pacemaker headers - $520 - Ebay
    Venom 200cpsi Cats x2 - $350 (for both) - Ebay
    Twin 2.25" catback system - $350 - From shop
    Labor - $250

The labor wasnt that much as a friend of a friend was doing it.
As for the catback i am not sure of the brand, All the same when it comes down to it...It has a resonator if that helps
Will get the video up as soon as i can get my hands on my bro's phone!
    Cheers

and how much power can i expect to get from it?

I do extractors that leave the cats in the original position, otherwise fitting long extractors will move the cats under the car and you have to remove the two small resonators that are there, removing them gives the alloytec a really raspy note.

    $365 for the extractors.

Pacemaker are a brand, they don't denote "extractors". I use HiTech as they do the short extractors as I said above.

No extractor will increase power as such on the alloytec, but they will change the torque curve. They will make the car accelerate better and for longer. They won't alter the sound that much except to make the note more defined.

Just a note, i'm fairly sure Pacemaker does make cats for the alloytech PN#: Cat5069-

That said, i'm not sure how available they are
