What has everyone done with there back shelf.
Have you guys just screwed the 6x9's to the mental that is already there or have you put a peice of wood there so it sounds better?
My mate who is doing my sound system said that it would be better to getting wood and cutting out a slot for the 6x9.
Just wants everyones thoughts and what they have done,
Thanks!
Ryan
If the holes are just 6" why not just use 6" speakers?
Think i might just seperate it with wood or cardboard or something so it doesnt have a 'tinny' sound

BZZZT!!!! wrong. vt-z have prepped punch outs in the parcel shelf for 6x9s. drop speakers in, run wires, cut top shelf and install grilles. job done. no modifying of steel shelf beyond factory specs.
once the speaker is screwed into the shelf, its reasonably solid. if you want to do it right, buy some sound deadening sheet and deaden the panels that vibrate.
Yeah I have done VT's before but didn't know about the newer models thus why I said I think. Thanks for clarifying hax.

i dont run any speakers in the rear parcel shelf just have the holes punched out and the grills installed so the sub can port through, with a good set of front splits and the right tune you dont need them...
