Jacking Points VZ

Hi Guys.

Just a question.

I have a good size trolley jack with a big plate, just wondering I have never jacked up the front of a VZ alloytech. In the manual they only suggest you jack them around the outside just to change tyres, etc. which sounds stupid to me.

I'm not going to be silly and jack it up from the sump, is the cross member a good spot? Or will it stuff something up?

I also would appreciate some advice on car stands and where to position on the front end.

I always jack up my VZ from the cross member and all my other commodores that I have owned previously from the same spot also.
I never had any problems doing it this way.
Remember if you are going to work under the car to ALWAYS use chassis stands for support and safety.
NEVER rely on the jack by itself to support the car.
