Questions about buying a VZ ute.

Im in the market for a VZ ute and just had a few questions. First off, im a P plater so it would need to be a 6. I was wondering about the differences in the spec S, Storm S and Thunder S. Exterior wise, interior wise, performance. Any help you could give would be really appreciated.

Also, just to add. I was talking to a mechanic who recons that everything for VZ's will set you back a mint compared to the ecotec.

s pack haqs cloth interior 175kw looks all the same
storm has leather trimed interior 190kw and has fog lights
thunder is very similar to storm
expect between $15k-$18k for s
between $17-$23 for storm and thunder.
but note that storm and thunder will be more expenceve to insure
i just picked up a mint cond vz s pack with duel exaust and other goodys from a dealer for $15k was a steal waited and looked around alot to find it
just dont rush in and buy but there is plenty of good deals out there from trades etc.

i just picked up a vz s pack, 6 speed manual, leather seats, turismo blue in color, with 19's an a hard tonneu cover for 15k an its only got 36k on the clock, they are all the same on the outside other then the rims would be different, the engine is bigger in the storm an thunder too i think, i could be wrong

Go for the SV6 or SVZ with the 190kw Alloytec.

Storm and Thunder both have the 172 killer wasp motor.
The SV6 get's the 190kw.

Places like redbook and glasses guide have good listings of interior and exterior accessories fitted.

Nah the only things ill be doing is exhaust and lowering. P plate restrictions wont allow for much else. What do you think of the quality of vehicles that go through auction? Would any Storms or thunders get through? I was under the impression that the thunder had the 190? Byut doesnt really matter as its out of my price range.

My cuz does a bit at auctions (sells finance) and by the time you pay fee to auction company and get rego (usualy not regoed) plus freight if its outta town its simmilar to a car bought at yard or privatly and you never know if your buyin a lemon ay auctions

Only the SV6 came out with the 190s. My Thunder only has the 170, but it has more than enough sting if you don't mind shifting gears to find the torque.
